Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of respiratory care experience and be comfortable working with both long-term ventilator and critical care patients across multiple settings.
This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive respiratory care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the highest quality of patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
•
Deliver safe, effective respiratory care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
•
Manage ventilators and provide oxygen therapy, airway management, and respiratory treatments.
•
Perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.
•
Assist with intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy management.
•
Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in rapid response situations.
•
Accurately document care and treatment in the EPIC electronic medical record system.
•
Float between assigned facilities as needed and participate in on-call coverage.
Additional Details
•
Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM–7:00 AM).
•
Weekends: Required every other weekend (2 out of 4 weekends per month).
•
On-Call: 1–2 shifts per month.
•
Float Requirement: Between Long Term Care, Clifton Springs, and Newark locations.
•
Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
•
Must be proficient in long-term and critical care ventilator management.
•
Scrub color: Any professional color combination.

Qualifications
•
Active NY RRT or CRT license (required prior to start; okay to submit while in process).
•
Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience.
•
EPIC charting experience required.
•
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; RRT strongly preferred.
• Previous travel experience preferred (first-time travelers accepted with strong experience).
