Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Mining Sector Superior Staff it Inc. in partnership with BookStaff, is a Healthcare Staffing Solution based in Sault Ste. Marie. We are currently seeking a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in occupational health, acute care, or emergency nursing to support a mining operation. Travel Benefits • Accommodations and meals provided • Mileage reimbursement provided, where applicable • Company truck supplied for transportation between accommodations and the mine site Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities may vary slightly depending on site requirements. Expectations will be reviewed during site-specific orientation. Duties may include, but are not limited to: • Provide on-site occupational and acute nursing care to mine workers • Conduct health assessments and respond to workplace injuries and medical emergencies • Perform drug and alcohol testing in accordance with company and regulatory standards • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed • Provide wound care and minor trauma management • Assess, monitor, document, and report changes in worker health status • Coordinate emergency response and liaise with local EMS when required • Maintain accurate medical documentation and electronic health records • Promote workplace health and safety initiatives • Ensure compliance with provincial Occupational Health and Safety legislation • Adhere to scope of practice as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) • Maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries in an industrial environment Required Skills • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including extended standing, walking, and navigating industrial environments • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in acute situations • Ability to work independently with confidence in remote or semi-remote settings • Professional, calm, and solution-oriented approach • Excellent attendance and punctuality • Strong leadership and emergency response capabilities • Adaptable and flexible in a dynamic industrial setting • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Proficient with electronic medical records and digital documentation systems • Ability to follow site safety policies and procedures Qualifications • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) from an accredited institution (required) • Current Registered Nurse license in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (required) • Minimum 1 year nursing experience (required) • Experience in Emergency, Acute Care, Occupational Health, or Industrial Nursing (preferred) • Certification in drug and alcohol testing (asset) • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (preferred) • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation (asset) • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check ALL NECESSARY PPE WILL BE PROVIDED ON SITE Salary:   $75.00-$85.00 Schedule • Full-Time Contract • Day, evening, night shifts • Holidays • Weekends If you’re interested in joining our Superior team; apply to this ad, submit your resume to   [email protected] , or stop by our office at 248 Queen Street East, Sault Ste.
