Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Travel Contract
Start Date: December 1, 2025
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 4x10-Hour Days (11:00 AM – 9:30 PM)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 13-week travel assignment in a dynamic operating room environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience across multiple surgical specialties and be able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure efficient case flow.
• Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment safely and effectively.
• Assist in preparing operating rooms, including setup for various specialties.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Collaborate with surgeons, RNs, and anesthesia providers to deliver exceptional patient care.
• Accurately document and maintain surgical records as required.
Additional Details
• Schedule: 4x10-hour day shifts, 11:00 AM–9:30 PM.
• Weekends/Call: May vary based on unit needs.
• Scrub Color: Navy and white combination.
• Locals: Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.
Qualifications
• Certification: CST certification required (unless candidate has prior NY surgical tech experience before 2015).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent surgical technologist experience.
• Specialty Experience Required: Orthopedics, total joints/hip replacements, neuro, robotics, thoracic, and vascular.
• Charting: EPIC experience preferred.
• Travel Experience: Not required (first-time travelers welcome).
• Licensure: Must meet New York State requirements prior to start.
