Role- SDE-1 Backend Developer Experience: 1–4 Years Location: CP, Delhi Employment Type: Full-Time About TravClan: TravClan is a leading B2B Travel-Tech company that connects travel agents with flights, hotels, holiday packages, and other travel products through its technology-driven platform. About the Role We are looking for an SDE-1 Backend Developer with 1–4 years of hands-on experience in backend development. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with both Python and Node.js and have experience building scalable backend applications, REST APIs, databases, and microservices. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications. • Build and integrate REST APIs using Python and Node.js. • Work with backend frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, Flask, Express, or NestJS. • Design and optimize database solutions using MySQL/PostgreSQL and MongoDB. • Work with Elasticsearch for search and data retrieval requirements. • Use Redis or Aerospike for caching and high-performance data access. • Implement asynchronous processing and event-driven workflows using Kafka or RabbitMQ. • Develop and maintain microservices-based applications. • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. • Perform unit and integration testing using tools such as pytest, Jest, or Mocha. • Use Git for source control and collaborative development. • Containerize applications using Docker. • Follow basic application security practices, including JWT/OAuth authentication and OWASP guidelines. • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend applications for performance and reliability. • Collaborate with product, frontend, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams. Must-Have Skills • 1–4 years of professional backend development experience. • Strong hands-on experience with Python (Django, FastAPIs and flask) • Strong hands-on experience with Node.js (NestJS, Express JS) • Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL. • Experience with MongoDB. • Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch. • Experience with Redis or Aerospike. • Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ. • Good understanding of REST API design and development. • Experience with Git and software testing. • Hands-on experience with Docker and basic microservices architecture. • Understanding of basic web/application security concepts such as OWASP, JWT, and OAuth. Good to Have • Experience with AWS or GCP. • Exposure to serverless technologies. • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD. • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Nginx, Linux, and shell scripting. • Experience with application monitoring, logging, and tracing. • Exposure to WebSockets or GraphQL. • Experience working on travel-tech, fintech, or other high-volume/high-traffic applications.
