Description
Location: Sunrise, Florida Must have at least (2) two years supervisory/leadership experience
Job Overview: Provide superior Transportation services to our store teams, ensuring safe and on- time delivery of all store goods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Leads, directs and trains the delivery driver team.
• Fills in for drivers to cover routes (CDL-A)
• Monitor’s routes to ensure the most cost-efficient delivery operations.
• Monitor’s hours of service via ELD (Geotab)
• Ensures all drivers are compliant with DOT regulations; assist in maintaining DQ files
• Performs weekly vehicle inspections
• Maintains equipment – Tractors/Trailers/ and pallet jacks
• Cleanliness and Preventive Maintenance
• Coaches and develops delivery drivers, perform routine route ride evaluations.
• Demonstrates safety and security precautions and follows all company policies.
• Other Duties as required.
Qualifications
•CDL Required
•Transportation experience in dispatch and/or operations supervision
•Strong knowledge of FMCSA and DOT compliance
•Proficient with basic computer skills/Microsoft Office programs (Excel and Outlook a most)
•Meticulous with an ability to positively influence others
•Ability to work independently and multi-task
