Sewing Machine Operator (Trainee) Location: Tetbury, Gloucestershire Hours: 4 day week – Mon to Thurs 8.00am – 6.00pm Salary: Competitive (DOE) The Role Our client is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join their manufacturing team as Sewing Machine Operators. No previous sewing experience is required as full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career within manufacturing. You will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to manufacture high-quality textile products while working to detailed specifications and production standards. Key Responsibilities • Operating industrial sewing machines, including single needle, double needle and overlock machines • Sewing and reinforcing fabrics, webbing, Velcro and other materials • Reading and following drawings, build plans and work instructions • Producing high-quality work to specified measurements and tolerances • Carrying out quality checks on finished products • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment • Meeting production targets while maintaining excellent attention to detail About You • Excellent attention to detail • Good hand-eye coordination • Able to follow written instructions and technical drawings • Reliable, punctual and self-motivated • Comfortable operating machinery • Able to remain focused whilst carrying out repetitive tasks • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn • Previous sewing machine experience is advantageous but not essential as full training is provided What's on Offer • Full in-house training programme supported by UK Fashion & Textile Industry (UKFT) • Long-term career opportunity • Supportive and established manufacturing team • Opportunity to develop specialist industrial sewing skills How to Apply If you are interested in this opportunity, please send your CV to [email protected] or call 01453 755330 for more information.
