Launch Your Career in the Energy Industry Are you technically minded, eager to learn, and looking for a long-term career with real progression?We're looking for motivated individuals to join our Operations Team through a structured 2-3 year Development Programme. This is a unique opportunity to build a career within the power generation industry, gaining hands-on experience at two major power stations while working towards becoming a fully qualified Operations Technician.Previous power station experience isn't essential. We're more interested in finding people with the right attitude, a strong work ethic, curiosity for how things work, and a genuine interest in engineering, energy, and industrial operations.If you're someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new skills, working as part of a team, and taking responsibility, we'll provide the training and support to help you succeed.

Kilroot Power Station & Ballylumford Power Station, Northern Ireland
Full-time, site-based role
What You'll Be Doing
As part of the Development Programme, you'll learn how to safely operate and monitor power generation plant and equipment while working alongside experienced operators and engineers.
You'll gain exposure to:
Power station operations and industrial plant systems
Plant start-up, shutdown and monitoring activities
Fault identification and problem solving
Health, safety and environmental procedures
Working with engineering and maintenance teams
Plant inspections and performance monitoring
Incident response and operational procedures
Industry-leading operational and technical training
What We're Looking For
We're not necessarily looking for someone with years of industry experience. Instead, we're seeking individuals who demonstrate:
A genuine interest in engineering, energy, power generation, manufacturing or industrial operations
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking
Good communication and teamwork skills
A proactive approach and desire to build a long-term career
The ability to follow procedures and work safely
Backgrounds That Could Be a Good Fit We'd love to hear from candidates who have:
Completed an engineering apprenticeship
A-levels, BTEC or equivalent technical qualifications
Experience in manufacturing, production, utilities, maintenance or industrial environments
Military or ex-forces technical experience
A passion for engineering and a desire to develop a specialist career
