Trainee Commercial Tyre Fitter Location: Newport & Cardiff About Truckfforce Our TruckForce service network is made up of Goodyear equity-owned hubs and independent service providers specialising in the lifecycle management of truck tyres. Goodyear tyres are the product of over 100 years of innovation and state-of-the-art technology, offering very high levels of performance and safety and is a brand that is looking for several tyre fitters to support them all the way through their career. Why This Role Matters · Play a key role in keeping commercial vehicles safe, operational, and on the road. · Deliver high-quality service to customers, supporting fleet reliability and efficiency. · Represent the business as a trusted, customer-focused technician. · Contribute to maintaining strong safety standards and service excellence across all operations. What You’ll Do · Deliver professional tyre fitting and maintenance services to customers in line with service level agreements. · Attend customer sites and roadside breakdowns, ensuring timely and effective support (day or night). · Complete job cards, fleet inspections, and all required documentation accurately and efficiently. · Maintain company vehicles and equipment to a high standard of care and safety. · Follow all health and safety procedures and guidelines at all times. · Manage workload effectively, prioritizing tasks to meet customer and business needs. What We’re Looking For · A recognised qualification in tyre fitting (Bus, Truck & Coach or Roadside Breakdown) is desirable, but not essential. · Interest in developing a career in tyre fitting, with a strong focus on customer service (full training provided). · A valid UK driving licence. · Confidence using digital tools such as tablets or computers. · Strong communication skills, with experience interacting with customers. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team. · Well-organised, proactive, and committed to maintaining high safety standards. Important Information: · Full-time, permanent role with opportunities across multiple UK locations. · Overtime, Callouts and Weekend Work may be required. · Full training provided, including a City & Guilds qualification. · Competitive salary (£30,000 - £35,000 OTE). · Company van, equipment, and health & safety training provided. · Benefits include holiday allowance, pension, life assurance, and employee discounts.
