Overview Our Wellingborough-based client is looking to recruit a Trainee Accounts Assistant to join their busy and supportive finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to begin their career within finance, who is studying towards AAT or has a degree in Accounting and Finance and looking to learn new skills. The successful candidate will be reliable, organised and enthusiastic to learn. Key Responsibilities • Answer customer queries and help resolve any issues in a friendly and professional way. • Create and process sales invoices and credit notes each day. • Record customer payments and credit card transactions, making sure they are allocated correctly. • Check and investigate any differences in payments or accounts. • Complete daily banking and reconcile bank transactions. • Help the credit control team with day-to-day tasks and communication. • Enter supplier invoices onto the system and assist with purchase ledger duties. • Carry out other office and finance tasks as needed to support the department. The Candidate To be successful in this role, you will have: • Reliable, conscientious and organised • The ability to work in a team environment • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Good IT skills Remuneration • £24,800 – £25,500 per annum • Monday to Friday 8.30-5.00pm • 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays • On site Parking and Company Pension Based in Wellingborough this role is within a commutable distance of Northampton, Kettering, Milton Keynes and Bedford.
