Job Title: Trailer Technician Location: Oakham Salary: £19.50 – £23.50 per hour + Overtime + Call Out Payments Shift: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 17:30 Extras: Saturday rota (07:30 – 13:00) The Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV / Trailer Technician to join a well-established transport business operating one of the UK’s leading agricultural haulage fleets. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician to work on a modern fleet of HGVs and specialist trailers, carrying out servicing, repairs, diagnostics and maintenance to ensure maximum fleet availability. Working as part of an experienced workshop team, you’ll be trusted to complete work to a high standard while maintaining excellent safety and quality standards. Responsibilities • Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers. • Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults. • Perform inspections and preventative maintenance. • Complete work in line with manufacturer and company standards. • Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently. • Maintain accurate workshop documentation. • Participate in the on-call and out-of-hours rota. Requirements • Previous experience as an HGV Technician, Trailer Technician or HGV Mechanic. • Level 2 (or above) qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent experience. • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. • Ability to work independently and within a team. • Good understanding of health and safety procedures. • Flexible and proactive attitude. • HGV Licence desirable but not essential Benefits • Additional call-out and out-of-hours payments • Guaranteed hours • Overtime available • Permanent, full-time position • Full induction and ongoing training • Career development opportunities • Company uniform provided • Safe, well-equipped working environmen How to Apply Interested?
