Description
The TCM Physician promotes holistic well-being and active ageing by integrating Traditional Chinese Medicine with community-based preventive health practices. The role focuses on early intervention, education, and personalised care for seniors. Key Responsibilities – Aligned to a Preventive Health Framework 1. Health Promotion & Education • Design and conduct health and wellness workshops for seniors, covering lifestyle management, chronic disease prevention, and TCM principles. • Recommend and adopt food therapy as part of nutrition education and wellness programmes. 2. Early Detection & Pain Management • Provide pain management treatments, including acupuncture and other TCM modalities, to address musculoskeletal and chronic conditions. • Assess clients and refer them to Tzu Chi Foundation clinics or appropriate services when further medical evaluation is required. 3. Integrated & Personalised Care • Collaborate with medical doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals to discuss case management and ensure coordinated care. • Work with the Tzu Chi Integrated Health Team to develop and implement personalised care plans tailored to each senior’s needs. 4. Community Access & Service Delivery • Travel between the two Tzu Chi Active Ageing Centers (SEEN Bukit Batok & SEEN Nanyang - currently located in Bukit Batok and Jurong West) to provide clinical services, workshops, and community outreach. Job Requirements: • Recognised Degree or Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine and valid registration with the TCM Practitioners Board, Singapore. • Demonstrated expertise in acupuncture and pain management. • Knowledge of TCM food therapy and preventive health approaches. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage seniors and work in a multidisciplinary team. • Ability to travel between sites and manage schedules independently. • Commitment to community care and promoting active ageing. Work Schedule Primarily weekday office hours (0830-1730), with flexibility for occasional evening or weekend workshops.
