The Trademark Paralegal provides essential and specialized support for attorneys and internal teams managing Authentic’s extensive trademark portfolio. The Trademark Paralegal assists Authentic’s IP team with all phases of U.S. and international trademark prosecution, from pre-filing to maintenance of registered trademarks, and also assists on enforcement and opposition matters.
What you’ll be working on
Creates, maintains, and updates U.S. and international trademark and patent prosecution and opposition files and case materials in both physical and in electronic records management systems, including WebTMS
Corresponds regularly with foreign counsel on new trademark applications and routine prosecution matters
Creates, maintains, and updates docket reports
Reviews the docket on a daily basis to track all deadlines associated with trademark prosecution, oppositions, customs recordals, and enforcement matters
Prepares powers of attorney and related documents for trademark assignments
Gathers and organizes evidence of use to support pending applications pending oppositions
Prepares status reports for attorneys and internal teams as needed
Assists in quality assurance review of trademark records and correspondence
Assists in checking and updating the status of trademark cases with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and foreign trademark offices when appropriate

Must Haves
1-2+ years of relevant experience
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and problem solve
Relevant work experience in IP preferred
Experience supporting IP attorneys preferred
Primary Location Salary Range:
$70,000 - $80,000
