About This Role The ideal candidate is a dynamic educator who can build and lead a cohesive teaching team, coordinate curriculum, and manage daily classroom activities. To create a safe and engaging learning environment, the Teacher must possess a deep understanding of child development and be skilled in communicating with children and adults alike. This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively guide teacher assistants, resolve parental concerns, and promote a positive team environment. What You'll Do • Develop and implement educational curriculum by designing engaging classroom activities that align with developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards • Lead by example, inspiring teaching team success through coaching and modeling best practices. • Design individual and group activities to foster social, cognitive, and emotional growth in children, encouraging active engagement and exploration. • Maintain open and regular communication with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences. • Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations. • Establish a healthy classroom environment, adhering to hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards. • Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers to ensure they follow planned activities, safety standards, and adhere to guidelines. • Accurately maintain records, forms, and files. • Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices. Requirements • Li>Must clear full background check and must pass health screening. • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification. • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills. • Associate’s Degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE. • High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. • Minimum of 4 years of professional child care experience. • Must be able to close until 6 pm • Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl. • A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception. • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Li>A strong understanding of child development.
