Description
About the Role If you love the fast pace of travel, the precision of a perfectly booked itinerary, and the satisfaction of solving a client's travel crisis before they even panic — this is your seat. You'll be the person corporate executives, government delegations, and individual travellers trust to get them where they need to go, on time and effortlessly. This isn't a back-office ticketing job. You'll be the front-line expert clients call when a flight gets cancelled two hours before departure, and the reason they come back next time. What you'll actually be doing Own the booking process, start to finish Handle reservations, ticketing, rebooking, cancellations, and refunds across domestic and international flights using Amadeus, Sabre, or Travelport Build optimal itineraries — flights, hotels, visas, travel insurance — tailored to each client's budget and preferences Be the calm, capable voice when schedules change or flights get disrupted, sorting out re-routings fast 2. Be the expert clients rely on Serve as the direct point of contact for retail, corporate, and diplomatic clients — by phone, email, and in person Stay sharp on visa rules, passport validity, transit requirements, and health regulations so your clients never get caught out Apply fare rules, taxes, and date-change penalties accurately, protecting both the client and the agency from unnecessary costs 3. Keep the numbers clean Match payments to bookings before ticket issuance — no leakage, no surprises Prepare daily sales summaries and reconciliation reports for Finance, Requirements What you bring A Bachelor's degree or HND in Travel & Tourism, Business Administration, or related field 2–4 years hands-on experience as a Ticketing/Reservations Officer at a travel agency or airline Working fluency in at least one GDS platform (Amadeus, Sabre, or Travelport) — IATA or GDS certification is a strong plus Sharp attention to detail — the kind that catches a fare rule error before it becomes an expensive problem Communication skills that stay clear and professional even when a client is stressed and the clock is ticking Why this role Work with a genuinely varied client base — corporate, diplomatic, and individual travelers — never the same day twice Sharpen and grow your GDS expertise in a role that treats it as a craft, not just a checklist Be trusted with real ownership: your calls on fares, rebookings, and client service directly shape the client's experience and the agency's reputation T he preferred candidate MUST RESIDE IN ABUJA.
