Overview  Bassett Healthcare Network , in central New York is seeking full-time BC/BE Thoracic Surgeon. Salary:  $550,000-650,000 Sign on Bonus: $100,000 Location: Cooperstown, NY Job Description & Responsibilities: Perform thoracic surgeries, including minimally invasive and complex procedures Diagnose and treat conditions affecting the chest and thoracic cavity Collaborate with surgical oncologists, medical oncologists, pulmonologists, and other specialists to develop comprehensive treatment plans Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients Participate in clinical research and contribute to quality improvement initiatives Educate patients and families about treatment options and recovery processes Participate in medical student and General Surgery residency education Da Vinci Xi Call for thoracic patients is shared with General Surgeons on nights and weekends Multi-disciplinary tumor board and ACS CoC accredited Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region Become a part of Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons
