Are you looking for a flexible schedule that allows you to   work   weekends and still receive   full-time benefits ? Join University Health Behavioral Health   Ellington   Place     as   a   Therapeutic Support Specialist/ Mental Health Technician   on our   weekend day shift   team! Work   Saturday and Sunday, 7 AM–7:30 PM , with a   significant shift differential   for weekend hours. Optional   additional   shifts are available. What You'll Do: As a   Therapeutic Support Specialist   on our   residential care team , you will provide essential care and support to residents, helping them thrive in a safe and supportive environment. Your responsibilities will include: • Engage and Connect:   Lead fun, meaningful activities that promote confidence, joy, and emotional well-being for residents. • Teach Life Skills:   Guide   residents in developing practical skills like cooking, cleaning, symptom manage men t , and problem-solving. • Provide Support:   Assist   with outings, medication administration ( training provided ), and   maintaining   a welcoming, recovery-focused environ men t . Qualifications We are looking for passionate, dedicated individuals who meet the following   minimum qualifications   and can contribute to a supportive environ men t   for our residents: Minimum   Require men t s: • Education:   High school diploma or equivalent ( no college degree   required ). • Heartsavers  CPR Certification:  Must obtain  Heartsavers  CPR certification within 90 days of hire and  maintain  it for continued employment. • Level 1 Medication Aide (LIMA) Licensure:   Complete the licensure course and exam within the first   90 days   of employ men t . Certification must remain current per the Missouri Depart men t   of Health & Senior Services (DHSS). • Driver’s License:   Obtain a valid Class E Missouri or Kansas driver’s license. Must be comfortable and competent   operating   a 15-passenger van   within   3  months   of employment and obey all traffic laws while on duty. • Family Care Registry Clearance:   Successfully clear the Family Care Registry background check. • Training:   Complete all required training as outlined during orientation and by leadership within established timelines for continued employ men t . Preferred Qualifications: • Lived Experience:  Personal lived experience with recovery from mental health or substance use disorders is valued in our setting. • Patient Care Experience:   Preference for candidates with docu men t ed experience   assisting   patients with activities of daily living ( e.g.   home health or residential experience). • Men t a l Health Experience:   Prior experience in a   men t a l health care setting is highly valued.
