Your Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Test System Technician to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, integrating, and maintaining test systems, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) , for battery management electronics. This role requires a strong technical background, hands-on experience with electronic test systems, test automation and a passion for automotive/embedded technology.
Your Responsibilities
- Build and Integrate Test Systems: Design and assemble HIL and EOL test systems to validate embedded automotive electronics. Work closely with system and test and industrialization engineers to understand testing requirements and specifications. Develop and implement test plans and procedures for our products.
- Maintain Test Systems: Perform regular maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of test systems to ensure optimal performance. Update and upgrade test systems as needed to accommodate new testing requirements and technologies. Document maintenance activities and system changes accurately.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to engineering teams during the product development and testing phases. Train team members and external operators on the operation and maintenance of test systems. Assist in the development of automated test scripts and software tools to enhance testing efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in automotive electronics testing and HIL/EOL technologies. Recommend and implement improvements to test systems and processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and reliability. Participate in cross-functional teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Your Profile
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of proven work experience in building, integrating, and maintaining HIL and EOL test systems for automotive electronics.
- Hands-on experience with embedded systems and electronic components testing.
- Familiarity with communication buses (Ethernet, CAN, LIN, SPI), protocols/standards (e.g. J19x9, UDS) and diagnostic tools.
- Proficiency in using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and multimeters.
- Strong understanding of circuit design, schematics, and PCB layout.
- Experience with software tools for test automation (e.g. Vector tools, Python) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Dexterity to handle small components and intricate test setups.
