Test Automation Architect (Embedded & Connectivity Systems) 🚀 About the Role As a Test Automation Architect, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing test automation strategies for embedded and connectivity software within Volvo Group’s next-generation connected vehicle solutions. You’ll be responsible for defining frameworks, designing automated test environments, and ensuring high software reliability in a complex, distributed system. This role requires expertise in embedded test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based testing to drive efficiency, scalability, and performance in software validation. 🛠 Key Responsibilities Design and develop test automation frameworks for embedded and cloud-connected systems. Define test strategies for functional, integration, and system testing in a connected vehicle environment. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous deployment. Develop and implement Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) testing strategies. Work with cross-functional teams to define quality standards and improve testing processes. Ensure test coverage across software layers, including embedded firmware, middleware, APIs, and cloud services. Evaluate and introduce new test tools & methodologies to optimize validation processes. 📌 Required Skills & Experience ✅ Education: M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. ✅ Experience: 5+ years in test automation, software validation, or quality assurance in embedded or cloud-based environments. ✅ Technical Skills: Programming & Scripting: Python, Bash, Groovy, Robot Framework. Embedded & Connectivity Testing: HiL/SiL, CAN, MQTT, REST APIs, IoT protocols. Automation & CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Docker, Artifactory, Azure Cloud. Test Frameworks & Tools: Selenium, Appium, Robot Framework, PyTest, JUnit. ✅ Industry Experience: Automotive, IoT, or connected embedded systems background preferred. ✅ Methodologies: Experience with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe development models.
