Description
Our client is a leading business distributor that provides high-quality products and services to retail partners in many industries. They have a skilled team and focus on meeting each customer’s needs with care and accuracy. As the company continues to grow, they are looking for a Business Development Manager to support their next stage of success. This is a field-based role, you will meet your customer and build strong relationships with them. You must be able to independently drive sales, meet targets, and consistently exceed expectations. Day to Day Responsibilities: Drive sales performance by consistently hitting targets, growing existing accounts, and winning new business. Build strong retailer relationships through regular store visits, standout service, and smart promotional execution. Manage your territory with precision using data, market insights, and structured planning to maximise sales, margins, and long-term growth, while collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver results. The ideal you: • At least 3 years’ experience in account management, sales, or business development • Good understanding of the FMCG industry, ideally within grocery retail • Able to work well as part of a team and follow company values • Strong skills in building and managing customer relationships • Focused on achieving results and meeting KPIs • Confident in providing professional advice to ensure strong in-store standards • Experience managing sales performance and profit margins • Understanding of retail requirements for health & safety, food safety, and HR • Knowledge of major social media platforms and how they are used • Proven ability to identify and make the most of commercial opportunities • Full, clean driving license.
