Tenancy Specialist Rate: £28.03 per hour (Umbrella) Locations: Morden, Penge or Lewisham (candidate can be based at any of these offices) Working Pattern: Hybrid - 1 day per week in the office after onboarding. We are seeking an experienced Tenancy Specialist to join a busy Housing Association, providing a high-quality tenancy management service across a varied housing portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong housing management experience who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and supporting sustainable tenancies. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a patch of properties, ensuring residents receive a professional, responsive and customer-focused service while maintaining compliance with housing legislation and organisational policies. Key Responsibilities • Manage a designated portfolio of tenancies from sign-up through to tenancy termination. • Deliver a comprehensive tenancy management service, including new tenancy sign-ups, succession, assignments, mutual exchanges and tenancy changes. • Conduct tenancy audits, estate inspections and home visits. • Investigate and resolve breaches of tenancy, including unauthorised occupation and tenancy fraud. • Work closely with residents to sustain tenancies, providing advice, guidance and appropriate referrals to support services where required. • Respond to customer enquiries and resolve tenancy-related issues in a timely and professional manner. • Liaise with internal teams and external agencies to ensure effective case management. • Maintain accurate case records and ensure all documentation is completed in line with policies and procedures. • Support the delivery of safe, clean and well-managed neighbourhoods. • Ensure compliance with relevant housing legislation, safeguarding responsibilities and organisational standards. Essential Requirements • Previous experience working within a Housing Association or Local Authority in a tenancy management or housing officer role. • Strong knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy management and best practice. • Experience managing complex tenancy cases and delivering excellent customer service. • Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills. • Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise effectively. • Competent in using housing management systems and Microsoft Office. • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable (depending on patch requirements).
