Hours: 16 hours per week, preferably over 3 days (10:00am–3:00pm) Immediate start, (school holiday period) Exact working days and times will be discussed with the successful applicant at the interview stage. Rate of Pay: £15.00 per hour Location: Lymm A driver with access to a vehicle is preferred for this role. Experience working with individuals who have physical disabilities and additional needs is essential. About the Role We are looking for a caring and reliable female Personal Assistant to support a 16-year-old girl who has a rare genetic condition called HNRNPH2. The role involves providing support at home and enabling access to social and leisure activities within the community. She has a wonderful personality, is non-verbal, and uses a wheelchair. She enjoys music, trips to the park, books, baking, and messy play activities. She does not enjoy loud noises or overcrowded environments. Duties and Responsibilities Supporting the development of independent living skills Assisting with personal care, including showering, toileting, and changing continence pads Supporting with moving and handling, including lifting and hoisting (essential) Escorting and supporting her during community outings and events Encouraging participation in social and leisure activities Providing appropriate supervision and ensuring her safety and wellbeing Person Specification The successful applicant will: Have experience supporting people with physical disabilities and additional needs Be confident providing personal care Have experience using hoists and undertaking moving and handling tasks Be reliable, patient, and compassionate Preferably hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle Successful applicants will be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
