As we continue our international growth, we are looking for an experienced, ownership-driven Technical Buyer (2 positions open) who thrives working independently while maintaining close collaboration with our HQ procurement team in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The Role As a Technical Buyer, you will be Skytree's procurement presence on the ground in Poland, supporting both technical and general purchasing for our growing operations. You will source and procure technical products and services for our manufacturing and engineering teams, while also handling the day-to-day general purchasing the business needs to run smoothly, from indirect spend and office requirements to consumables, services and supplier coordination. This is a hands-on role with real breadth. You will report to the Procurement Lead (based in Amsterdam) and work closely with colleagues across Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance and the wider Procurement team. It's a great opportunity for someone early in their procurement career to build deep technical buying skills while also getting broad exposure to how a scaling cleantech company actually operates. In strong collaboration with the team in Amsterdam, you’ll make an impact by Technical Purchasing Sourcing, evaluating and selecting suppliers for technical products and components used in Skytree's manufacturing and R&D activities. Supporting the Product, Engineering and R&D teams with their procurement needs , both ongoing requirements and ad-hoc requests. Initiating relationships with new suppliers, sourcing samples for testing, and helping move qualified suppliers into production. Negotiating pricing, lead times and delivery terms, and helping ensure purchased items meet our quality standards and technical specifications. Working to achieve fast delivery to avoid development or production delays, without compromising on quality or due process. General Purchasing Managing day-to-day indirect and general procurement: office supplies, consumables, services, facilities-related spend and ad-hoc business needs. Raising and managing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and following up with suppliers to keep things moving. Maintaining clean supplier records and procurement documentation. Working closely with Finance to ensure proper procedure, accurate administration and timely invoice and payment processing. Across both Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Identifying and helping mitigate procurement risks (supply disruptions, quality issues, single-source dependencies). Supporting supplier audits and scoring activities. Keeping up to date with market trends and supplier developments relevant to your categories. What we’re looking for At least 3 years of hands-on purchasing experience in a manufacturing, industrial or engineering environment. Strong graduates with a relevant internship will also be considered. A bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Process or similar), Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
