Job Title: Tech Support Specialist (Web & Systems) Industry: Digital Marketing / Web Infrastructure / Website Operations Job Type: Freelance / Deliverables-based Compensation: £40–£50 per completed support task (depending on complexity) Role Overview: The Tech Support Specialist is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues across websites and related digital systems. This role focuses on maintaining website functionality, resolving bugs, supporting integrations, and ensuring smooth technical operation of client platforms. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Technical Troubleshooting Diagnose and resolve website issues (errors, bugs, performance issues) Identify root causes of technical problems across WordPress sites Fix broken functionality such as forms, links, plugins, or scripts Website & Plugin Support Manage plugin updates and resolve compatibility issues Troubleshoot conflicts between themes, plugins, or custom code Ensure website stability after updates or changes Form & Integration Support Test and repair contact forms, lead capture forms, and submission flows Support integrations with CRM systems, email tools, or tracking platforms Ensure data is correctly captured and transmitted Performance & Stability Address loading speed issues and basic performance problems Monitor for errors or downtime indicators Support general website reliability and uptime Technical Issue Resolution Respond to assigned technical tickets/tasks Investigate issues reported by internal teams or clients Provide clear resolution within agreed turnaround times Collaboration Work alongside website editors, developers, and marketing teams Escalate complex issues when necessary Provide feedback on recurring technical problems Requirements: Strong experience troubleshooting WordPress websites Understanding of how plugins, themes, and CMS systems interact Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and website architecture Experience diagnosing and resolving technical website issues Familiarity with forms, APIs, and third-party integrations (advantageous) Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and resolve issues with minimal guidance Attention to detail and methodical approach to debugging Benefits Remote working
