Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant Team Teach Essential Location: Tower Hamlets, London Salary: £95 £120 per day Contract: Full-Time Long-Term Immediate & September Starts Available Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next rewarding role? Teaching Consultancy is recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN school in Tower Hamlets that is seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of additional learning needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team where you will play a vital role in helping children develop academically, socially and emotionally. The School The school caters for pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs, including: • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) • Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) • Complex Learning Needs • Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN) • Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) The school provides a nurturing, structured environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. We Are Looking For Candidates Who Have: • Team Teach certification (ESSENTIAL) • Previous experience working in a specialist SEN school or SEN provision • Confidence supporting pupils with Autism and challenging behaviour • Experience delivering 1:1 and small group interventions • Excellent communication and teamwork skills • A calm, patient and resilient approach • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) • Right to work in the UK Your Responsibilities • Provide tailored support to pupils throughout the school day. • Assist with learning activities inside and outside the classroom. • Use Team Teach strategies to positively manage behaviour. • Encourage communication, independence and confidence. • Work closely with teachers, therapists and parents to support individual learning plans. • Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
