The Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) is seeking an experienced and people-focused Team Leader to support the delivery of effective, timely and high-quality teacher registration and customer support services.This role will lead a team of Teacher Engagement and Registration Officers within a high-volume, complex regulatory environment. With strong focus on people leadership, you will build team capability, and create a positive and collaborative team culture.About the roleReporting to an Assistant Manager within the Teacher Engagement and Registration Branch, you will manage a team approximately 4-6 direct reportsYou will oversee the team's day to day organisation and performance, provide coaching and guidance, and support team members to manage complex applications, enquiries and escalations. You will also undertake quality assurance activities as well as help identify and implement improvements to service delivery.Key Responsibilitieslead, coach and support a team of Teacher Engagement and Registration Officers to deliver high-quality and timely servicesset team priorities, allocate work and monitor performance against agreed standardsprovide guidance on complex applications, enquiries, escalations and sensitive mattersmanage performance and capability through regular feedback, development planning and targeted coachingundertake quality assurance and apply legislation, policies and frameworks to support consistent decision making and effective risk managementidentify and implement improvements to processes, systems and service deliveryprepare high-quality reports, briefs and correspondence on complex matters.About youYou are an experienced team leader who enjoys supporting people to perform at their best.
