ABOUT THE ROLE Roland Foods is currently seeking a Team Lead of Accounts Receivable. This position is responsible for collections, deductions, and cash posting pertaining to the Retail and International channels. This role is based in our New York City office and reports directly to the Manager of Accounts Receivable. The Team Lead will have three direct reports. As a response to the pandemic, Roland Foods office employees have transitioned to a hybrid working schedule, requiring employees to report in-person Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to telework on Monday and Friday each week. Due to the collaborative, cross-functional nature of the organization, employees at the NY and NJ offices are required to work in-person for the abovementioned days, outside of any People & Culture-approved disability accommodation request.   RESPONSIBILITIES  Collections and Cash Posting Management Manage and support the team overseeing collections, cash posting, and deductions processing/disputes, by checking in regularly, reviewing team progress, and developing effective KPIs Partner with the Trade Finance Manager to ensure customer programs are accurate and customer deductions are appropriately matched or disputed Escalate delinquent accounts to customer service and sales team for cross-functional collaboration Oversee new customer setup and assist in determining credit terms Oversee customer order holds Assist in monthly bank reconciliation General Lead external audits, including preparation of schedules and gathering of support Identify and resolve process/system inefficiencies and drive process improvements; implement best practices and leverage technology to streamline operations Provide guidance on complex issues and foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment Prepare ad-hoc analysis as needed by management Hire, manage, motivate, and formally evaluate the performance of all direct reports   QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Required Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, including Accounts Receivable Proficiency with Microsoft D365 Knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls. Experience performing and reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations Preferred Experience managing a small team Experience in Tableau Process improvement mindset leveraging information systems Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, with outstanding attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with, manage, motivate, and support the team’s staff   SALARY RANGE Roland Foods hires exceptional people to perform a wide variety of important functions that contribute to the success of the Company.
