We partner with schools to provide Teacher of the Blind or Visually Impaired(TVI) (BVI) services to PreK–12 students nationwide. Job Description and Responsibilities Are you passionate about helping students with visual impairments thrive in the classroom? TheraPeds Partners is seeking a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join a collaborative school team in Dry Ridge, Kentucky for the 2026–2027 academic year . We welcome both full-time and part-time applicants who are committed to supporting students through individualized instruction, educational planning, and strong interdisciplinary collaboration. Position Details Full-time or part-time school-based opportunity available Up to 37.5 hours per week 2026–2027 academic year ( August 2026 through May/June 2027 ) On-site, in-person assignment serving students across Kindergarten through 12th grade Provide student support services in a collaborative educational setting Flexible scheduling options available for both full-time and part-time candidates Guaranteed paid hours include direct services, planning, documentation, meetings, and administrative responsibilities Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success Ongoing professional support from both the partnering school district and the TheraPeds Partners team Guaranteed pay for all scheduled hours, including time dedicated to documentation, planning, and administrative tasks $65–$85+ per hour , based on experience Full-time schedules may earn approximately $2,437–$3,187+ per week ; part-time earnings are prorated based on scheduled hours In This Role, You Will Provide specialized vision services that help students fully participate in their educational programs. Conduct educational evaluations and use assessment results to guide instructional planning. Develop, coordinate, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) while managing assigned student caseloads. Adapt instructional strategies and accommodations to meet each student's learning needs and promote independence. Monitor student achievement, maintain required documentation, and ensure compliance with special education timelines. Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, school administrators, and families to create effective support plans. Consult with school personnel on instructional modifications, classroom accommodations, and best practices for students with visual impairments. Foster an encouraging, inclusive learning environment where students can build confidence and reach their educational goals.
