About This Role This center of learning serves children from six weeks to 12 years old. We are currently seeking a 4K Assistant Teacher to join our staff. Ideal candidates exude a friendly demeanor, have a passion for children, and strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment for children and parents. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of our background check, pre-hire screenings, and onboarding processes. All employment is at-will and may be terminated at any time, with or without cause. Four additional teachers are needed to join our staff. What You'll Do • Develop and implement educational curriculum by creating engaging classroom activities based on best practices and early learning standards. • Lead by example and encourage team success through modeling and coaching. • Plan age-appropriate activities to foster social, cognitive, and emotional growth in children. • Maintain regular communication with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences. • Ensure compliance with center policies and state regulations. • Maintain a healthy classroom environment, adhering to high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and child safety. • Accurately maintain records, forms, and files. • Develop a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement. Early Head Start experience is a plus, but not required. Requirements • Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as basic computer proficiency. • High energy and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, children, and parents to foster a team environment. • A solid understanding of child development principles. • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification. • Must clear a comprehensive background check and pass a health screening. Must be able to interact with children by getting up and down from the floor. Must be able to lift at least 35 pounds. • Flexibility is required, with hours ranging between 6:30am and 6:00pm. MUST Have: • ECD 101 certification (Preferred) • Excellent hearing • Excellent vision Nice to Have • A 2-year Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, with a commitment to pursuing a 4-year degree in Early Childhood Education.
