Summary of the Role We are seeking a Tax Senior/Manager with 5+ years of public accounting experience to work on-site in our Richmond office. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in tax, excellent client service skills, and the ability to independently manage multiple projects. Key Responsibilities Tax Preparation and Review : Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Conduct detailed reviews of tax returns prepared by staff accountants.   Tax Planning and Advisory : Provide tax planning strategies to clients to minimize tax liabilities. Advise clients on tax implications of business decisions. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate their impact to clients.   Client Management : Develop and maintain strong client relationships. Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries and concerns. Communicate proactively, clearly and effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions. Understands engagement/project profitability and effectively communicates status/issues   Team Leadership and Development : Mentor, train, evaluate and provide feedback to staff accountants and interns. Delegate tasks effectively and ensure the completion of high-quality work. Provide regular feedback and conduct performance evaluations.   Operational and Technical Excellence : Manage multiple projects and deadlines independently and efficiently. Act as “champion” in either technology area and/or specialized technical knowledge area. Identify and resolve issues that may impact engagement quality or efficiency. Share best practices and time-saving techniques with team members.
