Tax Senior Location: Waterford An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Tax Senior to join a busy and established tax department. This position offers the opportunity to manage a diverse client portfolio, deliver tax compliance services across multiple tax headings, and contribute to a range of tax consultancy projects. The role would suit a qualified or part-qualified tax professional who is comfortable managing competing priorities, resolving technical tax matters, and delivering a consistently high standard of client service. The Role The initial focus of the position will be the management and delivery of tax compliance services across all tax headings for a broad portfolio of SME and multinational clients. You will also work closely with senior tax professionals on consultancy projects and provide tax support to colleagues across the wider professional services team. Key Responsibilities • Manage a substantial portfolio of clients. • Deliver and oversee tax compliance services across a range of tax headings. • Research, analyse, and resolve technical tax issues arising throughout the compliance process. • Liaise effectively with Partners, Managers, and other professionals. • Assist colleagues with tax queries relating to shared clients. • Support the delivery of tax consultancy projects. • Manage deadlines and competing priorities during busy periods. • Undertake additional ad-hoc tax-related duties as required. The Ideal Candidate • Qualified or part-qualified AITI Chartered Tax Adviser. • A Chartered Accountancy qualification or equivalent would be an advantage. • A minimum of two years’ experience in a busy tax environment. • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Proven ability to work effectively to deadlines and perform well during busy periods. • A flexible and team-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • A high level of commitment and a strong professional work ethic. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with confidence using other relevant computer applications.
