Description
Requirements: • Active CPA license • Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience with a specialization in tax • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing multiple engagements and client relationships • Strong technical skills regarding tax preparation and review, tax compliance, agency correspondence, and tax research • Proficient in tax software and technology • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively both individually and as part of a team • Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task • Ability to maintain confidentiality with highly sensitive information Software: • Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online software programs • Experience with Thomson Reuters Accounting CS, Fixed Assets CS and UltraTax CS software preferred • Proficiency with MS Office Suite required Key Responsibilities: • Lead and manage multiple tax engagements to deliver quality tax services for our clients. • Prepare and review complex tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, estate, trust, and non-profit). • Provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance services. • Develop, mentor, and train staff in tax department. • Research complex tax theory and positions; defend those positions on behalf of the firm and clients. • Interface with clients to advise on tax-related issues and planning strategies. • Monitor and adapt to ongoing changes in tax laws and regulations. • Facilitate communication between clients and firm associates, ensuring the client remains informed of tax implications and strategies. • Participate in business development efforts to attract new clients and maintain existing relationships.
