Job Title: Tax Accountant Location: Remote Role Type: Full-Time Salary: ₱76,900 - ₱88,500 per month We're looking for an Accountant with strong tax preparation experience to join our Australian accounting practice. You'll prepare and lodge tax returns across companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals, alongside managing day-to-day bookkeeping, BAS preparation, and financial reporting for 6-8 SME clients. This is a practice-side role where you'll work across a diverse client portfolio, preparing year-end financial statements, company and trust tax returns, and quarterly BAS lodgements. You'll manage monthly reconciliations, payroll processing (including STP), and support senior accountants with tax planning and advisory work. The role involves direct client communication, maintaining ATO compliance across multiple entity types, and delivering timely, accurate financial information. Requirements 2-4+ years of practical accounting experience in an Australian practice environment Demonstrated tax preparation experience across multiple entity types (companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals) Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation, BAS requirements, and superannuation regulations Proficiency in Xero (required) and Karbon practice management software (required) Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns for ATO lodgement Understanding of trust distributions, Division 7A, depreciation schedules, and year-end adjustments Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client portfolios with varying complexity and deadlines Strong attention to detail with ability to identify discrepancies and reconciliation issues Excellent written English communication skills for client correspondence and report preparation Self-motivated work approach with ability to prioritise tasks across multiple clients without constant supervision Experience working remotely with strong organisational and time management capabilities Comfortable with month-end, quarter-end, and tax season deadline pressure Proactive communicator who escalates issues early and presents solutions Desirable MYOB experience Experience with Dext, Hubdoc, or similar document automation tools Familiarity with SMSF accounting and compliance CA/CPA qualification or progression toward qualification Experience with Xero Tax or similar tax preparation software Benefits Performance-based salary progression Fully remote position with flexible working arrangements Direct mentorship from senior accountants and practice leadership Exposure to diverse industries and business structures across Australian market Opportunity to advance into senior accountant or advisory role as practice grows Collaborative, professional culture with autonomy and responsibility Professional development support for CA/CPA progression and technical training
