Description
👋 About Us sunday is building the fastest, simplest way to pay in restaurants. With a quick scan of a QR code, diners can pay, tip, and leave in about 10 seconds. We believe great products should feel obvious, not complicated, and we focus relentlessly on keeping things simple while earning trust from restaurants and guests at every interaction. Today, sunday powers payments in thousands of restaurants across the US, UK, and France, helping operators turn tables faster, increase tips, and unlock valuable insights. We push ourselves to go beyond what’s expected, building with ownership, moving fast, and scaling with ambition as we tackle our biggest growth opportunity in the US. About the Role Joining sunday as our first-ever Talent Sourcer Europe, you'll be the driving force behind our shift from reactive to proactive hiring. Alongside Arianna (Director of TA) and a tight-knit Talent team of 3, your mission is bold: take our outbound sourcing rate from 5% to 30% in 12 months. That means going out and finding the best talent in Europe ourselves, primarily for Sales and Ops roles in France and the UK, rather than waiting for them to come to us. This is a brand-new role. You're building something from scratch, with a direct and measurable impact on sunday's ability to recruit exceptional people. Join early, grow fast, and shape the journey! Key Responsibilities • Proactive sourcing: Identify and approach passive candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, and every relevant channel; build and maintain qualified pipelines for our priority roles (Sales & Ops, France & UK), anticipating needs before roles are officially opened • Sharp outreach: Write personalised messages that people actually want to reply to - human, direct, never templated; test different approaches, track response rates, and iterate continuously to outperform market benchmarks • Candidate qualification: Lead initial conversations with sourced candidates, assess fit, and hand off structured briefs to TA Managers so every transition adds real value to the process • Talent pools & partnerships: Identify and activate alternative channels for hard-to-fill roles - bootcamps, Slack/Discord communities, meetups, industry events - and build lasting partnerships that generate a steady, reliable stream of qualified candidates • Employer brand on the ground: Be sunday's ambassador in the communities where our target profiles spend their time; build our visibility and attractiveness where it counts, and bring back field insights to fuel our employer brand strategy • Data & continuous improvement: Track your key sourcing metrics (outreach response rate, funnel conversion, submittal acceptance rate, outbound pipeline contribution), analyse what's working, and propose regular optimizations About You Must-haves: • 3 to 5 years of experience in sourcing or recruiting, ideally in a tech, startup, or scaleup environment • Strong command of LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean search techniques • Comfortable with ATS/CRM tools (we use Teamtailor) • You write messages that feel human and actually get replies - not copy-paste templates • Data-driven mindset: you measure what you do, draw actionable conclusions, and keep improving • Fluent in English and French (mandatory - UK scope and daily English interactions across the team) • Autonomous and proactive: you don't wait to be told what to do to move forward Nice-to-haves: • Experience building talent pools or external partnerships with schools, bootcamps, or communities • Good knowledge of the UK tech market • Sensitivity to employer brand and talent attraction challenges • Experience recruiting for Sales or Ops roles (understanding the profiles you're sourcing is a real edge) What makes you stand out at sunday: • Creative and curious in how you find people - you don't stop at LinkedIn • Rigorous and organised without being rigid: y
