Job details
System Engineer Electronics
Main responsibilities
As a system engineer, you are already
involved early on during the specification and concept phase of the project.
This is where your conceptual and analytical skills really come into play. You
talk with the client and, in consultation with the architect and your team,
come up with a set of requirements. You ensure that the subsequent architecture
in your discipline aligns with the rest of the system. You are also primarily
responsible for the realization of the electronic and electrical designs. You
keep an eye on the connection with embedded software. You guide the more junior
colleagues and support them in a coaching role.
In the detailed phase and during assembly
and testing, you monitor the work around the electronics. You work closely with
the rest of the team to create a system that can be built and verified. The
interfaces between mechanics, embedded software, and electronics play an
important role in this. Communication and collaboration are very important to
achieve a great result together.
Requirements
• At least 5 years of experience in
electronic system engineering or a similar role
• Experience with defining
requirements and developing system architecture
• Experience with detailed
hardware design (including schematic design and PCBA design) and embedded
software development
• Experience with system integration, verification, and
validation
• Experience with preparing and maintaining technical documentation,
such as requirements, design specifications, test plans, and reports
• Strong
communication skills to work effectively
