About the Role:   We are seeking an experienced EE&SW System Design Engineer to take complete system responsibility for projects or specific concept areas within projects. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in defining and developing system solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs, platform strategies, and technical constraints. Key Responsibilities: Requirement Analysis & Negotiation: Engage with stakeholders to clarify and negotiate system requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility. Technical Concept Development: Lead technical concepts and system analysis during the early phases of projects, balancing business needs, platform strategies, lead time, cost, and technical constraints. System Solution Development: Drive the creation of competitive and timely system solutions, covering all aspects such as: Physical installation Non-functional aspects (diagnostics, power management, onboard communication, etc.) Functional and application software design, including Human-Machine Interface (HMI) Cybersecurity & Functional Safety: Identify and mitigate cybersecurity and functional safety risks. Collaborate with domain experts to develop specific CS/FS concepts as required. Technical Support & Collaboration: Provide system knowledge and technical guidance to development teams throughout the solution development lifecycle. Build strong networks across the organization and influence decision-making. Key Qualifications & Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in EE&SW embedded system design Strong understanding of system engineering principles, software architecture, and embedded systems Expertise in diagnostics, power management, and onboard communication protocols Experience in cybersecurity and functional safety, including risk assessment and mitigation Proven ability to lead technical discussions, negotiate requirements, and drive solutions Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience in cross-functional teams Preferred Qualifications: Experience in automotive, aerospace, or industrial embedded systems Familiarity with ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) and ISO 21434 (Cybersecurity) Knowledge of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and system simulation tools
