The Company: A port operator is expanding the team and is looking for System Admin Engineers . The Role: You will be responsible for the following as a System Admin Engineer : Configure and maintain the networked computer system, including hardware, system software, and applications. Ensure data is stored securely and backed up regularly. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise. Install and configure software, hardware and networks. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues. Ensure security and efficiency of IT infrastructure. Upgrade, install, and configure application software and computer hardware. Troubleshoot and provide technical support. Create and manage system permissions. Use ServiceNow to keep track of tasks. Requirements Familiar with: -Operating Systems such as Solaris, Linux and Windows Servers. - Hypervisor such as VMware, Vxrail, Nutanix, Microsoft. - Middleware such as OpenSSL & Apache - Other software components such as Microsoft's, IBM WebSphere and CA Siteminder. Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude. Willing to travel to various data centres when required. Provide support after office hours.
