The position can be based anywhere in Oregon, with a preference for Bend, and involves approximately 20% travel to project sites and meetings. The role leads conservation projects through their full lifecycle, from methods development and funding acquisition through implementation, product completion, and dissemination of results. Specific areas of work include conserving climate-resilient habitat, nature-based solutions for aquifer recharge, climate-smart water management, groundwater-dependent ecosystems, and drought vulnerability. The Project Manager will design monitoring approaches, perform fieldwork, manage multidisciplinary project teams, and build and maintain partnerships with Tribal governments, state and federal agencies, non-governmental organisations, and community groups. The role also involves contributing to fundraising strategy and leading or collaborating on public grant proposals. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in natural resource management, conservation, environmental science, hydrology, water management, or a related field, with five years of relevant experience.
