The Surgery Department is looking for a Surgical Technician to join their growing team! Hours: Varies Weekend and call rotation will be required Position Summary: The Surgical Technologist is responsible for assisting in surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment, and supporting the surgical team. This role ensures instruments and supplies are available and functioning properly to promote safe, efficient patient care. Education and Training Required: • Certified Surgical Technologist. • BLS certification. • Meets health requirements. Experience: • Previous experience in surgical care services with knowledge of aseptic principles preferred. Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Must be able to deal with multiple priorities calmly. • Good organizational skills. • Good time management skills, can prioritize. • Resourceful – aware of resources available for use. • Able to work independently. • Quick learner. • Able to work with all types of people. • Communication skills. • Requires decision-making and problem-solving skills. • Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills. • Must have an understanding of the physical and emotional stresses that occur with illness and disease and be able to work with individuals under these stresses • Must be able to interact and practice in collaboration with a variety of healthcare professionals. • Must have the ability to motivate people and create a positive work environment. • Must have the ability to resolve problems quickly and effectively. • Must display a high degree of emotional maturity while keeping difficult situations in proper perspective.
