Veterinary Surgery Specialist - Veterinary Referral Hospital The Veterinary Referral Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Specialist Surgeon to join its established surgical team within one of Australia’s leading  animal referral hospitals . Our surgery department consists of a specialist surgeon and a registrar with close collaboration  across Anaesthesia, ECC, Diagnostic Imaging, Neurology, Internal Medicine  and  Oncology. VRH is a multi-disciplinary referral hospital and 24/7 Emergency Centre in Melbourne’s South-East. We pride ourselves on being a patient-focused practice, delivering treatment that puts patient care first.  We believe the best outcomes come from a collaborative team approach across specialties. Our hospital is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility. Equipment includes fluoroscopy, 16-slice CT, a 1.5T MRI, digital radiography, and a full suite of surgical instruments, including advanced orthopaedic and soft tissue equipment.  A particular focus is minimally invasive surgery. Our surgery team works closely with medicine, neurology, oncology, anaesthesia, and diagnostic imaging specialists , supported by a 24-hour ICU staffed with critical care specialists. About You • ACVS, ECVS or FANZCVS board-certified or eligible to sit qualifying examinations • Available to join VRH from January 2026 (or early) for at least 6 months as a locum or open to a permanent position • Collaborative by nature and interested in contributing to team growth and education Why Should You Join the VRH Team? • Competitive Remuneration on Offer plus  $5,000 CPD allowance plus study leave, annual vet board or AVA membership fees covered • Work/Life Balance:  Living in Australia, you need time to get away and enjoy our great country.
