Description
Supabase is a Postgres development platform providing a complete backend solution including database, authentication, storage, edge functions, realtime, and vector search capabilities. This Support Engineer role involves providing world-class developer support to users experiencing issues or seeking guidance with Supabase services, working within a globally distributed team focused on minimizing time to resolution.
What You'll Do
• Provide initial and timely responses to support cases covering billing, pre-sales requests, optimization, and implementation questions
• Triage support cases by directing users to documentation, code examples, previous answers, or escalating to specialized technical or business teams
• Monitor multiple feedback channels including GitHub Issues and Discussions for Supabase repositories
• Identify opportunities for developing or obtaining internal tooling to improve support efficiency
• Reproduce issues, create test cases, and improve test coverage as appropriate
What You Need
• 3+ years of customer support experience providing developer support to technical customers
• Proficiency in SQL with strong comfort level with complex PostgreSQL queries
• Excellent English communication skills
• Skilled in Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line usage
• Experience working with GitHub Issues and Discussions
Nice to Have
• Database administration experience
• Familiarity with popular JavaScript frameworks including React, Vue, and Svelte
• Experience with Node.js
• Computer Science degree
