Supply Care Solutions is currently recruiting for an experienced Support & Engagement Worker on behalf of our client based in Middlesbrough . This is an excellent long-term opportunity to join a dedicated multidisciplinary team, supporting individuals affected by substance misuse and other complex needs within the community. About the Role As a Support & Engagement Worker, you will provide person-centred support to adults affected by substance use, many of whom may also experience mental health challenges, housing issues, offending behaviour, or other complex needs. Using a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach, you will support individuals to access treatment and essential services, reduce barriers to engagement, and work towards sustainable recovery. This is a community-based role involving outreach work, home visits, appointments in community settings, and close partnership working with criminal justice agencies and other local services. Key Responsibilities ✅ Complete assessments, risk assessments, and harm reduction interventions. ✅ Develop, implement, and review personalised support and risk management plans. ✅ Engage with service users through outreach, home visits, and community appointments. ✅ Support individuals to access housing, healthcare, welfare benefits, advocacy, and specialist services. ✅ Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including criminal justice services and healthcare professionals. ✅ Maintain accurate case records and support documentation. ✅ Promote safeguarding and maintain professional boundaries at all times. Essential Requirements ✔ Experience supporting vulnerable adults in a paid or voluntary capacity. ✔ Experience assessing and managing risk, including safeguarding concerns. ✔ Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems. ✔ Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills. ✔ Ability to work flexibly across community settings. ✔ Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle (business insurance required before commencing the role). Desirable ⭐ Knowledge of substance misuse, homelessness, domestic abuse, or related support services. ⭐ Understanding of trauma-informed practice and safeguarding procedures. ⭐ Experience of multi-agency working and knowledge of local support services.
