Description
We are recruiting on behalf of an established aerospace and advanced manufacturing company. Its Cincinnati operation is a fast growing hub that supports major commercial engine programs and a worldwide customer base. The business is expanding into new markets across North America, Europe, and Asia. This is a chance to help build and scale a global supply chain during a real growth phase, not simply maintain one that already exists. We are looking for a hands on Supply Chain Manager who can lead global sourcing, improve supplier performance, and drive operational excellence across a complex international supply chain. Why this role Real ownership. You will lead supplier strategy, sourcing decisions, and process improvements, not just carry out orders. Work that matters. This is a regulated, high specification environment where your choices affect quality, safety, and performance. A seat at the table. You will work directly with Engineering, Quality, and Operations, with visible influence. Strategy and hands on work. You will set long term sourcing strategy and stay close to daily operations. Global reach. You will manage an international supplier base, with room to influence and to travel. Growth, not just upkeep. The operation is stable but modernizing, with steady investment in better processes. What you will do Lead and carry out global procurement strategies that meet cost, quality, and delivery targets. Own the full procure to pay cycle, including RFQs, supplier selection, negotiations, purchase orders, delivery tracking, and invoice resolution. Drive department metrics (KPIs) and support wider business goals. Manage and develop a strong team through coaching, performance management, and succession planning. Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to solve supply problems and keep production moving. Oversee supplier performance using metrics, audits, risk assessments, and corrective actions. Build and scale supplier networks for aerospace grade components and materials. Keep purchasing in line with industry regulations and internal policies. Requirements Essential Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related field. At least 7 years of international supply chain experience in aerospace, defense, or another regulated manufacturing industry. At least 4 years in a leadership or management role. Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, including machining, milling, fabrication, casting, and forging. Working knowledge of metal commodities and outside processing or treatments. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs). A track record of success in supplier negotiations, contract management, and relationship building. Experience sourcing complex machined parts, specialized components, or advanced materials. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Willingness to travel internationally as needed. Preferred Master's degree in a related field. ERP experience, ideally with Global Shop and/or Epicor. Experience building or scaling supplier networks in new regions or markets. A professional supply chain certification, such as CPSM, CPIM, or CSCP. Benefits Base salary of $125,000 to $140,000, based on experience, education, and qualifications. Discretionary bonus of up to 20%. 401(k) with a 5% company match, eligible after three months. Medical, dental, vision, life, and supplemental insurance, effective the first of the month after your start date. Three weeks of paid vacation, accrued, at this management level. Five days of paid sick leave. Tuition reimbursement. Career development, including new manager and quality training programs. Employee referral program. Relocation support may be available for the right candidate. The role includes some international travel to manage and develop the global supplier base. Keller is a recruitment agen
