As a Supply Chain Coordinator, External Manufacturing API, you’ll bring your expertise, leadership, and drive to ensure reliable supply, strengthen strategic partnerships, and support the delivery of trusted self-care products worldwide. About the job: In this role, you will help ensure the reliable supply of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) across Opella's global manufacturing network. Working within the External Manufacturing API team, you will coordinate supply activities across a diverse global supplier base, manufacturing sites, CMOs, and partner organizations to secure product availability and support business continuity. · Lead initiatives that strengthen supply reliability and customer service performance. · Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless supply chain operations. · Drive continuous improvement through process optimisation and effective use of systems and data. · Champion collaboration, agility, and resilience in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Main responsibilities · Coordinate supply and demand planning for APIs produced by third party suppliers, ensuring continuous product availability · Manage short- and mid-term supply constraints, identifying risks and implementing mitigation actions · Lead supply chain activities for new product launches, transfers, and product changes · Act as the main point of escalation between API manufacturers and internal stakeholders on operational issues · Monitor and improve API supply chain performance, including reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions · Optimize supply chain costs (inventory, transportation, waste/destruction) while maintaining service levels · Ensure compliance with internal processes and regulatory requirements across external manufacturing partners About you · Experience in Supply Chain, logistics, or operations, ideally in a regulated industry or complex environment · Strong planning and coordination skills across supply, demand, and external partners · Knowledge of supply planning, inventory management, and forecasting processes · Ability to manage stakeholders and resolve operational issues in a structured way · Comfortable working with data and reporting tools (MS Office, especially Excel) · Project management and continuous improvement mindset · SAP (Polaris) advanced knowledge is a benefit · Fluent in English Opella values diversity in all its forms and is committed to fostering a workplace where everyone can belong and excel.
