Job Summary:
A Supply Chain Business Analyst analyses, designs, and improves supply chain processes by leveraging data, systems, and cross-functional collaboration. The role bridges business needs with technical solutions to optimize planning, procurement, logistics, inventory, and distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Data Analysis & Reporting:
• Collect, analyze, and interpret supply chain data (inventory, demand, transportation, production).
• Develop dashboards and KPIs to monitor performance (e.g., service level, lead time, stock turnover).
• Identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Process Improvement
• Map current (“as-is”) supply chain processes and design improved (“to-be”) solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support cost reduction, service improvement, and operational efficiency programs.
• Business & systems alignment
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications for IT systems (ERP, WMS, TMS).
• Support system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
• Perform testing (UAT), validate data accuracy, and ensure solution quality.
• Forecasting & planning support
• Collaborate with planning teams on demand forecasting and supply planning.
• Analyze forecast accuracy and planning performance.
• Stakeholder collaboration
• Work closely with procurement, logistics, finance, IT, and operations teams to understand business requirements.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather input and align on solutions.
• Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams.
• Present insights and recommendations to management.
Qualifications:
• You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• You have at least 3 years of experience in supply chain, business analysis, or analytics roles.
• You have a thorough understanding of supply chain processes (planning, warehousing, transportation) and supply chain KPI’s.
• You have strong data analysis skills (Excel, PowerBI), with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate these into actionable insights.
• Experience with data modelling and/or reporting tools is a plus.
• You have experience with ERP systems, especially S/4 Hana and SAP Fiori Cloud.
• You are an excellent communicator with strong problem-solving skills.
• You are able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• You have an interest / affinity in working in a technical environment
• In addition to Dutch, you have a fluent knowledge of English (spoken and written)
