Description
Location: Uri or Graubünden Swiss Lachs is hiring a Grow-Out Supervisor to oversee the intermediate to harvest stage of salmon production. You will coordinate daily operations such as feeding, health checks and tank management, ensuring optimal growth conditions and animal welfare. The ideal candidate has good leadership skills, a strong interest in sustainable aquaculture practices and a solid understanding of aquatic animal health and nutrition. Your tasks Monitor and manage grow-out tanks for optimal fish growth and health Supervise feeding schedules and adjust feed based on biomass targets Inspect fish behaviour, diagnose health issues and coordinate treatments Record growth performance and environmental data Support biosecurity and sanitation protocols Train and lead a small team of technicians Assist with harvesting and logistics planning Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, two-year technical degree in aquaculture or similar training Hands-on experience in grow-out or hatchery environments Familiarity with RAS systems is an advantage Comfortable with data collection and reporting Strong attention to detail Ability to handle high-stress situations Fluent in English, with skills in Italian or German We offer Varied and responsible tasks in an interesting, high-level environment Progressive working conditions A positive working atmosphere in a motivated team Personal responsibility and flexibility Discounts in our stores Does this versatile challenge appeal to you?
