What you will do – Reporting to the Head of training centre and working with Course In-charge and Programme Head to: · Conduct skill-based and technical training for deck officers on various shipboard operations. · Conduct simulator-based training and assessment for deck officers at different competence levels. · Ensure the courses are delivered as per the course plan and timetable, based on the detailed teaching syllabus and lesson plan. · Implement quality standards in the assigned courses. · Prepare course documentation, including presentations, assessments and exercises. Incorporate new regulations, industry best practices and new training material received. Upkeep of course material, e.g. handout, presentations, training videos, exercises, etc. · Develop computer-based training modules. · Handle non-compliances. Identify and record all deficiencies related to training activities and initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities in consultation with Programme Head. · Conduct verification and review of courses.
