Job Title: Substation Procurement Officer Grade: O2 Location: Gurgaon Compensation: Up to 11 LPA Experience: 3–5 Years Openings: 1 About the Role We are looking for a Substation Procurement Officer to manage end-to-end procurement for high-voltage GIS/AIS substation projects. You will work closely with engineering, project, and supplier teams to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of equipment and materials across awarded projects. Key Responsibilities Manage procurement activities for awarded GIS/AIS substation projects, including 220KV, 400KV, and 765KV substations for clients such as IOCL, NTPC, and BSPTCL. Develop and maintain project procurement plans aligned with overall project schedules. Publish RFQs as per the procurement plan, prepare comparative cost analyses, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive and technically compliant offers. Create CPDCs and Purchase Orders in SAP with necessary approvals as per SOP, and rigorously follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time dispatch of materials. Coordinate submission of supplier documents — including equipment drawings, GTP, QAP, and TTR — to the engineering team, obtain approvals, and issue Manufacturing Clearance (MFC) to suppliers. Provide procurement support during the bidding and tendering phase by sourcing competitive offers for cost estimation. Requirements B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering is mandatory. 3–5 years of procurement experience in the power sector with hands-on exposure to electrical substation procurement at 220KV, 400KV, or 765KV levels is required. Experience on EPC or substation projects is preferred. Proficiency in SAP (MM module) for PO and CPDC creation. Strong understanding of HV/EHV substation equipment specifications. Experience preparing comparative cost analyses and conducting commercial negotiations. Familiarity with supplier documentation processes including GTP, QAP, TTR, and MFC. Good communication and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
