Sub-contractor Technician/Engineer – London | Paul Clark Services - Road transport industry engineering support Job details Type: Contract Salary: Competitive hourly rate Closing date: Applications welcome PCS – trusted engineering support for the UK’s road transport industry since 1997 Paul Clark Services (PCS) is looking for skilled PCV engineers to support major bus and coach operators across London on consistent, long-term projects. What we offer: • £58 daily travel contribution (when travelling over 2 hours) • Competitive hourly pay (on enquiry) • Outside IR35 engagement • Consistent long-term assignments • Backing from a responsive operations team, with all PCS engineers equipped with the right tools and PPE Position Summary The Sub-contractor Technician/Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving their technical skills, undertaking required technical and health & safety training, and delivering engineering work to the highest standards. Minimum requirement • Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle or Bus & Coach Engineering, Repair, and Maintenance. Responsibilities • Carry out all work to the highest standards. • Report any issues relating to work, health, safety, and welfare. • Demonstrate professionalism, safe working practices, and excellent customer service. • Follow company and legal health & safety procedures. • Treat colleagues and management with respect and dignity. Qualifications & Experience • City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent. • Minimum 4 years’ post-apprenticeship experience. • Full driving licence. • PCV/LGV Licence (preferred but not essential). • Health & Safety management training. Professional Attributes • Strong awareness of health & safety practices. • Excellent communication skills. • Commitment to best engineering practices. Duties* • Complete all work as specified, safely and to PCS standards. • Maintain clean, tidy work areas. • Use all equipment correctly and with care. • Always wear correct PPE and maintain good hygiene. • Drive company vehicles respectfully and report any defects. • Read and follow all Toolbox Talks. • Report any skills shortages or training needs. *Note: Duties may evolve as the role develops.
