You’ll work from our Norcross, Georgia office, where your expertise in structural analysis and PLS-CADD will shape everything from initial spotting to final construction. If you’re ready to lead, travel, and build something that lasts, this is your line. What You’ll Do You’ll design and analyze overhead transmission lines from the ground up—literally. That means calculating clearances, spotting structures in PLS-CADD (or by hand when needed), and running structural analysis in PLS-POLE. You won’t work in a silo; you’ll collaborate daily with engineers, technicians, and client teams to make sure every pole, foundation, and conductor is code-compliant and cost-effective. You’ll also manage projects like a pro. On smaller efforts, you’ll own the full scope. On larger ones, you’ll lead a team of technicians, keeping everyone aligned on deadlines and deliverables. You’ll create material breakdown sheets, assemble construction bid packages, and help estimate job costs. When a project demands boots on the ground, you’ll travel to sites—about 30% of the year—to gather design data, assess existing systems, and guide construction crews. Your stamp will mean something. You’ll prepare, review, and seal documents and drawings—specifications, design criteria, construction documents, and as-builts. You’ll also write proposals (scope, estimate, the works) and keep a sharp eye on industry standards like RUS, NESC, and ASCE. What You Bring • A BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university • 5+ years of hands-on electric utility transmission line design experience • A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license—or an EIT with a clear path to licensure • Working knowledge of foundation design software (MFAD, LPILE is a plus) • Honest, clear communication—whether you’re talking to a client or a colleague • Willingness to travel up to 30% annually and work extended hours when project deadlines demand it Why This Role?
