Strategy Manager Strategy & Commercial Due Diligence (Food & Consumer) Salary: £90,000 – £100,000 + 35% Bonus Location: London (Hybrid) An independent strategy consultancy specialising in the food and consumer sector s is looking to hire a Strategy Manage r to lead high-impact strategy engagements and commercial due diligence projects for private equity and corporate clients. This firm is known for combinin g deep sector expertise with a people-first cultu re, offering exposure to complex, senior-level work without the long hours and burnout often associated with larger consultancies. As a Strategy Manager, you will take a leadership role across projects , working directly with Partners and clients while guiding analysts and consultants through complex commercial questions across the food value chain. What You’ll Be Doing • Leading commercial and operational due dilig ence for private equity transactions • Managing end-to-end strategy engagements across growth strategy, market entry, and value creation • Structuring complex problems and guiding teams through market analysis, customer segmentation, and competitive assessments • Overseeing market modelling, commercial analysis, and financial scenario testing • Synthesising insights i nto clear, compelling strategic recommendations for investment committees and boards • Managing project teams and supporting the development of Analysts and Consultants • Building trusted relationships w ith private equity and corporate clients What They’re Looking For • 6–9 years’ exper ience in strategy consulting, commercial due diligence, or transaction advisory • Strong experi ence leading CDD projects or strategic engagements within Food/Consumer Industry • Excellent analytical, modelling, and problem-structuring capabililities • Demonstrated ability to manage teams and deliver client-facing workstreams • Interest in food, consumer, or FMCG sectors • A clear, structured communi cator who can translate complex analysis into strategic insight • Someone who thrive s in collaborative, high-performance environments without aggressive internal competition Why This Role Stands out • People-centred c ulture with a genuine focus on sustainability and long-term development • More balanced working hours than many tier-one consultancies • Significant exposure to private equity investors and senior stakeholders • Flat structure with real responsibility and visibility at senior levels • A strong track reco rd of internal progression into Director-level roles Package Details • £90,000 – £100,000 base • 35% performance-related bonus • Hybrid working • Supportive, low-ego team culture
